JOHN ROTTKAMP M.D. FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

John was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biological Sciences at SUNY at Stony Brook, New York. In 1984, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in NYC. Dr. Rottkamp then finished a residency program in Anesthesiology at Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC. He has been practicing his specialty at Staten Island University Hospital since 1988.
Since 2000, John has visited over 12 different cities in Peru, and has developed a strong connection to it’s people, especially the children. In 2003, he founded and self-funded the Rottkamp Charitable Foundation, which has helped the poorest children of Lima, Peru with medical care, food, education and clothing. In August, 2008, he also founded the Rottkamp Charitable Foundation as a Public 501(c)(3) Not For Profit Charitable Organization.

SRI HARAN C.P.A. DIRECTOR

President of Haran Watson & Company, is a certified public accountant in Ohio and New Jersey and a Certified Financial Planner, Professional with over 25 years of experience in accounting and business consulting. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) and simultaneously completing the educational requirements for membership in the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (London, England), Sri worked in the private sector as an accountant for two years. After immigrating to the United States, he gained three years of experience from local CPA firms in Columbus, Ohio, and Manhattan, New York. Sri started his CPA practice in 1987 as a sole practitioner with a few small, startup businesses. As the needs of these small businesses grew, the practice also grew by providing additional services, as well as adding new clients. These clients include several 501 C (3) organizations. Sri is trustee/director/officer of several charities. Sri Travels extensively related to his work/charitable activities. This brings new awareness related to charitable work in foreign countries.

DONALD H ROTTKAMP, JR. DIRECTOR

Donald was born in 1956 and raised on Long Island, New York. He has worked many years for the New York Racing Association. He strives to help the Rottkamp Charitable Foundation with it's fund-raising activities throughout the year and has traveled to Lima, Peru to participate in the Foundation's charitable work.

FAIZ HASHAM, MD. DIRECTOR

Attending Anesthesiologist Staten Island University Hospital Staten Island, New York Dr Hasham, originally from Kenya, completed medical school in Dublin, Ireland and residency in England. After being board certified by the Royal College of Anaesthetists, he moved to the US, where he finished a fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesia. He is married with two grown children and lives in Staten Island< New York, where he is an attending anesthesiologist.

MISAEL VELOZ

Misael Veloz was born November 20th in Havana, Cuba. He is the son of Ada and Juan Veloz. He grew up in Artemisia, near to his 3 sisters. He attended Maria Curie Nursing school in Havana from 1994-1998. In 1999, he specialized in Oncology and Radiotherapy while working at the Oncology/Cancer Center of Havana. He continued his nursing career after arriving in the United States in 2000. In 2009, after meeting Dr. Rottkamp, he has participated in numerous campaigns to help the poorest kids around the world. Misael is excited to bring his helping hands to others in need.
