The Special Cinema Event was organized as part of the year-end activities for children and mothers from North Lima, belonging to families who reside in the area known as Cerrito de La Milla and face limited economic resources. This initiative aimed to provide a safe recreational experience and moments of shared enjoyment outside the participants’ usual environment.

This year, the children attended a screening of Pets on a Train at a local cinema, allowing them to enjoy a collective cinematic experience in an inclusive and welcoming setting. Admission tickets were fully covered, ensuring equal access for all participants.

To support the development of the activity, round-trip transportation was provided, along with a snack combo that included soda and popcorn for each attendee. These arrangements allowed the event to take place in an organized and secure manner, prioritizing the well-being of the children and their families.

The event was organized by Solidarity Peru, with the support of the Rottkamp Charitable Foundation, and was carried out in coordination with the community. The active and well-organized participation of the mothers played an important role throughout the activity.

Beyond the recreational aspect, this initiative sought to reinforce values such as inclusion, accompaniment, and community engagement, contributing to meaningful shared experiences for participating families during the year-end season.
